Take a look @ the best of the past releases from the music world

Here are some of the best releaees in years 2000-01 in the Rap & R&B catagoriers. Diddy stakes his claim with 'The Saga Continues'. Luda' also finds himself in the elite 7.

The Saga Continues - P Diddy & The Bad Boy Family

One of Puffy's better albums, 'The Saga Continues' shows the wide versatility the man has, with up-beat jumpin' tunes like 'Diddy' & 'Bad Boy for Life'. Quite the opposite is the soulful 'I need a Girl' - dedicated to J-Lo? Diddy denies it but the song speaks for itself.
Ludacris - Word of Mouf

Another smash from the dirty south, 'Word of Mouf' is Luda's follow up to the successful 'Back for the first Time'. With tracks such as 'Area Codes', 'Rollout' & 'Saturday (Oooh Oooh!)', this album is easily betters the previous. We should be seeing more of 'cris during '02.
Timbaland & Magoo - Indecent Proposal

As the great prophet Timothy Westwood once said 'this album has got sum hot joints'. Timbaland has done it again with his slick production and amazing beats; complimenting Magoo's soft vocal tones. If you only listen to one track on the whole album, make it 'All y'all'. Wot a tune - listen for yourself.
Jay Z - The Blueprint

What you expect from the 'Jigga Man' appears on 'The Blueprint', although it is no disappointment. 'Izzo (H.O.V.A.)' & the fantastic 'Girls, girls, girls' are exempt to his exptional use of samples from 80's soul tracks. With an an album with R. Kelly soon to hit the stores, Jay Z is truly ontop of his game.
Nas - Stillmatic

From the catalogue of hot albums from Nas comes 'Stillmatic', with the lead track 'Got ur self a Gun'. Probably not the best album out of what he's done, as 'It was Written' will always be hard to match. The rivalry between Nas & Jay Z is evident throughout the album - obviously to sell records as gansta rap killings ended on 9th March '97.
Ice Cube - Greatest Hits

Not an Ice Cube fan? Nor was i till i listened to 'Greatest Hits'. I didn't realise how many dope tracks 'Cube had made with beats such as 'You can do it (Put ur back into it)' & the timeless 'It was a good day'. With hits from past & present, Ice Cube's 'G.H.' is worth a listen.
1 from the Rack: Lucy Pearl with their self titled album
Lucy Pearl consists of former band members: Dawn Robinson from 'En Vogue' (Since left), Ali Shaheed Muhammad from 'A Tribe called Quest' & Raphael Saadiq from 'Tony Toni Tone'. If you are a true R&B/Easy Listening fanatic - you need this album. The released track 'Dance Tonight', 'Don't mess with my Man' & 'Without You' are just some of the amazing tracks of this phenomenal album.
