Firstly, all you need is a credit card: MasterCard, Visa etc. Solo cards are an easy option: available from most banks, they display the small purple 's' logo on the top right hand corner of the cards, accepted by many High Street.
Right, now log onto one of the many online betting sites, I recommend either Ladbrokes or William Hill, both offer a good service but one is better at some things than the other. Anyway, go to the 'sign-up' or 'new user' options easily found somewhere on the site's homepage.
Fill in the details form. It asks for the usual things but you gotta get things right. The name on the card has got to match the name u put in on the details page.
Then your date of birth. To follow will be your CREDIT/DEBIT CARD DETAILS You'll be asked for your CARD NUMBER and the EXPIRY & START DATES. Don't get mixed up with the CARD NUMBER & the ACCOUNT NUMBER.
The CARD NUMBER is the really long one across the whole centre of the card, usually starting in 6767... Get this wrong & you'll be nickin someone's money, so double check before entering. The ACCOUNT NUMBER is the smaller one to the bottom left of the card.
They ask for a SIGN IN NAME and a PASSWORD, basically like most internet sites that offer secure online service. The sign in name can be something like 'tallpaul' or 'stevep' can only be 8 letters/numbers. The password is around the same length - make it something you will remember like a birthdate, car number plate etc.
Click done; if you return to the same screen then it is likely that someone on the website's database as the one you've entered. For example 'jamesn' is likely to be used already. When both are confirmed WRITE THEM DOWN. It's too much hassle to get them again from the site's helpdesk.
YOU ARE GIVEN A CHOICE OF CURRENCIES:
USE THE CORRECT ONE FOR YOU'RE COUNTRY
E.G. ENGLAND = £
U.S.A = $
GERMANY (DEUTSCHLAND) = EURO
SPAIN (ESPANA) = EURO
Make sure there's cash in your account. New members are always given a FREE BET. And yes its too good to be true! All it means that the bookmaker will match your first deposit in the betting account, up to £20. So put £20 in there, it'll give you £40 in your account. BUT you cannot withdraw this 'free money'. All you get are the RETURNS FROM A BET YOU MAKE.
For example, if you bet this £20 on a game and say the odds resulted in doubling your money: if you win you get £20 you would have won on the bet (doubled your money - £20 x 2 = £40), plus the £20 you staked back, but again YOU CAN'T WITHDRAW IT. It stays in your account, you can bet with it until you lose a bet - then you lose the free bet. Easy!

DEPOSITING & WITHDRAWING MONEY
When you think about it its quite straight forward. The site retains your card number you entered when signing up. Pay money into your account - you can only deposit on the site what you've got in there. Go to the 'deposit' option or similar option. Select the amount you want to DEPOSIT INTO THE BETTING ACCOUNT TO BET WITH.
Then they'll ask you to enter your password to complete the transaction.
The bank transaction doesn't go through straight away, but you can't fiddle it. When you check your balance on a cash machine, it will display the amount of money you had to begin with at the top (including however much you deposited in the betting account) and then the actual balance at the bottom (minus the deposited cash).

SO BE AWARE!
When you win money, the procedure is basically the same. Go to the WITHDRAW option, enter the amount you want to WITHDRAW FROM THE BETTING ACCOUNT and confirm your password. IT TAKES AT LEAST 4 WORKING DAYS FOR THE MONEY TO REACH YOUR ACCOUNT FROM THE BOOKMAKER, SO DON'T PANIC. Remember Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holiday and Public Holidays ARE NOT WORKING DAYS.
For example, withdraw your cash on Saturday and Monday is a Bank Holiday, the money should be in your account Friday (there's no way around this so work arround any direct debits etc. that come from your account).
HOW TO PLACE A BET
The all important part of betting. It can be as easy or difficult as ou want it to be: here goes!
Odds are given prodominately in DECIMALS, available on both sites. If you prefer the old-skool FRACTIONS e.g. 2/1, 5/2, this option is only available only on William Hill. I RECOMMEND DECIMALS - THEY ARE EASIER, TRUST ME.
They work like this - here's an example of possible betting odds:
ENGLAND 2.00 V GERMANY 3.50 DRAW 4.00
EXAMPLE 1
For England to beat Germany by any scoreline (5-1) within 90 minutes of play, you get odds of 2.00
ODDS ARE SET AT THE LIKELY HOOD OF A RESULT COMING THROUGH. THEY CAN BE FROM 1.01 TO 10.00 +.
The odds of 2.00 basically means £2 - FOR EVERY £1 YOU BET, YOU RECEIVE £2. YOU DON'T GET BACK WHAT YOU STAKED ASWELL.
Say you bet £10 on ENGLAND to WIN AGAINST GERMANY.
If England won, you would win £20.
With odds of 2.00 this means (£10 x 2.00 = £20)
YOU MULTIPLY THE BET YOU STAKE BY THE ODDS GIVEN
EXAMPLE 2
For Germany to beat England (yeah) by any scoreline within 90 minutes of play, you get odds of 3.50
Say you bet £10 on GERMANY to WIN AGAINST ENGLAND
If Germany won, you would win £35
With odds of 3.50 this means (£10 X 3.50)
YOU MULTIPLY THE BET YOU STAKE BY THE ODDS GIVEN
EXAMPLE 3
For England and Germany to DRAW, meaning scores are EQUAL after 90 minutes of play, you get odds of 4.00
Say you bet £10 on the score between England v Germany to be a draw.
If it was a draw, you would win £40
With odds of 4.00 this means (£10 x 4.00)
